Boxing Free Bets and Betting Offers From UKGC Bookmakers

All nine Gambling Commission licensed bookmakers in our standings have a welcome offer for new sports customers, though not every one can be used on a fight. Here is each one with its key terms, how a free bet on a fight is settled and what to check before you opt in. Offers as published on 30 September and 1 October 2026.

Boxing free bets from nine UK bookmakers

Almost every boxing free bet in the UK is a general sports welcome offer rather than a boxing promotion: you place a qualifying bet with your own money, and the bookmaker credits free bets or a boost that you can then use on a fight. The nine below follow the order of our boxing betting standings, which is not a ranking of the offers.

Offers change without notice, and only William Hill’s states an end date (31 December 2026), so check the bookmaker’s promotions page before you opt in; the full terms there are the ones that apply. The table sets the key terms side by side.

One promotion in our data is specific to boxing: BoyleSports lists an early payout when the opponent of your fighter is knocked down. Its terms are not in the data we hold, so read them on the BoyleSports site; the BoyleSports review covers its boxing coverage.

How a free bet on a fight is settled

The most important line in any free bet offer is the one about the stake. A successful cash bet brings back the profit plus the stake; a free bet brings back the profit only. Betfred and Ladbrokes say so in their terms (“Stake not returned”), and so does Midnite (“Free stake not returned with winnings”).

Take a £10 bet on a fighter at evens (1/1, or 2.0 in decimals). If the fighter wins, a £10 cash bet brings back £20: £10 profit and the £10 stake. A £10 free bet on the same fighter at the same price brings back £10, the profit alone. If the fighter loses, the cash bet costs you £10 and the free bet costs you nothing but the credit.

This is why the price you use a free bet at matters. At short odds, most of what a cash bet brings back is the stake, and a free bet takes that part away. A free bet on a 1/4 favourite brings back £2.50 on a £10 credit; on a 2/1 underdog it brings back £20. The longer price is longer because it is less likely to land, so neither is a reason to back a fighter you would not otherwise back.

Minimum odds apply to the qualifying bet and, at some books, to the free bets too. Betfred, BetVictor, BoyleSports, LeoVegas and Midnite require evens (2.0) or longer on the qualifying bet; William Hill, Ladbrokes and Coral accept 1/2 (1.5), and bet365 1/5 (1.20). Midnite also sets minimum odds on each free bet: 1/1 on the £10 single, 3/1 on the bet builders and 4/1 on the acca. At evens, most favourites in the fight-result market do not qualify, while a method-of-victory or round price for the same fighter often will; a 4/9 favourite is too short even at 1/2, but qualifies at bet365. Our boxing betting markets guide explains how those markets work.

The LeoVegas offer is not a free bet at all. It is a 100% profit boost on one in-play bet of up to £10 at odds of 1/1 or longer: the bet is placed with your own money, and the boost doubles its profit, up to £100 extra. The stake is your own and comes back as normal if the bet lands.

Terms to check before you opt in

The short terms are a summary; the full terms behind “Full T&Cs apply” are what the bookmaker applies. Six points decide whether an offer works on a fight.

  1. Minimum oddsThey run from 1/5 at bet365 to evens at most of the others. Check whether it applies to the qualifying bet only or to the free bets as well.
  2. Time limitsThere are two clocks: the window for the qualifying bet (7 days at Betfred, BetVictor and LeoVegas, 14 days at Coral, Ladbrokes and Midnite, 30 days at BoyleSports and 30 days to claim at bet365; William Hill’s terms set none) and the expiry of the free bets, which is 7 days at all eight offers that pay free bets. A free bet that expires before the fight you had in mind is worth nothing, so claim close to it.
  3. Payment methodBetfred and BetVictor require a deposit by debit card; William Hill excludes e-wallets such as PayPal, Skrill and NETELLER, and Apple Pay; bet365, Coral and Ladbrokes exclude some methods too, BoyleSports excludes Skrill, NETELLER, PayPal, Paysafe and prepaid cards, and LeoVegas says exclusions apply without naming the methods in its short terms. Credit cards are banned for gambling in Great Britain in any case.
  4. Which bets qualifyA cashed-out bet does not qualify at BetVictor, BoyleSports or Coral. LeoVegas requires the qualifying bet to be in-play, which on boxing means during the fight.
  5. Where the free bets can be usedThis is where the offers differ most for a boxing fan. At BetVictor the qualifying bet, the free bets and the boost token are all for football, and at Ladbrokes and Coral two of the six free bets are bet builders, one for football and one for horse racing. Betfred’s £20 is for selected multiple bets, and four of Midnite’s five free bets are bet builders or an acca. Check that a boxing market is among them.
  6. One per customerEvery offer is for new customers only. BoyleSports limits it to one per customer, household and IP address and excludes Northern Ireland; Betfred limits it to one per address, IP address and device.

If a fight is postponed or an opponent changes, a bet on it is usually void under the bookmaker’s boxing rules; whether a void bet still counts as the qualifying bet is set in the full terms, so check before you rely on it. Our void bet rules explain when that happens.

Which offers work on a fight

Measured against a fight night rather than the headline figure, the offers fall into four groups. Free bets for sports markets in general can go on a fight: all of bet365’s, William Hill’s and BoyleSports’, Betfred’s £30, Midnite’s £10 single, and four of the six at Ladbrokes and at Coral. Free bets built around bet builders and accas need several selections, which a single bout does not always offer: Betfred’s £20, four of Midnite’s five free bets and the other two at Ladbrokes and Coral work that way. LeoVegas pays no free bet at all: it boosts the profit on one in-play bet of up to £10, which can be a fight. BetVictor’s offer cannot be used on boxing at all, because the qualifying bet has to be on football too. None of this changes the standings: offers are added after the scores, and William Hill’s 8.2, level with Betfred, has nothing to do with its offer.

Choosing a bookmaker for the first time? Weigh the offer after the markets, the rules and the margin. Our step-by-step betting guide walks through that choice.

Offers and responsible gambling

A welcome offer is marketing, and it is designed to get you to place a first bet. Set a deposit limit before you claim anything, and never deposit more than you planned in order to reach a qualifying amount. The offers here all start at £10 or less, and none needs a bigger first bet than that.

The rules on bonuses in Great Britain were tightened on 19 January 2026: since then, any wagering requirement on a bonus is capped at ten times the bonus. None of the nine offers on this page states a wagering requirement in its terms.

Before you opt in

FAQ

Offer questions

10 questions answered

What is a boxing free bet?

It is a bet credit a bookmaker gives you, usually after a qualifying bet with your own money. You can place it on a fight like any other bet, but if it lands you receive the profit only; the free bet stake is not paid back.

Which UK bookmakers have a welcome offer I can use on boxing?

All nine in our standings list one for new sports customers, but not every one can be used on a fight. BetVictor’s free bets are for football only, and part of the Betfred, Coral, Ladbrokes and Midnite offers is for bet builders or multiple bets. The table on this page sets the key terms side by side.

Can I use a free bet on any boxing market?

Usually on most markets, but not always. Some offers restrict where the free bets go: BetVictor’s are for football, Betfred splits its £50 into £30 for sports markets and £20 for selected multiple bets, and each of Midnite’s five free bets has its own bet type and minimum odds, so read which bets qualify before you place one.

What happens to a free bet if the fight is cancelled?

If a fight is called off, bets on it are usually made void under the bookmaker’s boxing rules. What happens to a free bet placed on it, whether the credit comes back and with how long left to run, is set in the offer’s full terms, so check them; our guide to when a boxing bet is void covers the rules themselves.

Is a profit boost the same as a free bet?

No. A profit boost adds to the profit on a bet you place with your own money; LeoVegas’s offer doubles the profit on one in-play bet of up to £10, with the extra capped at £100. A free bet is a separate credit whose stake is not paid back.

Do boxing free bets have wagering requirements?

None of the nine offers listed here states a wagering requirement in its terms. Since 19 January 2026 any wagering requirement on a bonus in Great Britain is capped at ten times the bonus.

What does minimum odds of evens mean?

Evens is 1/1 in fractions and 2.0 in decimals: a price at which the profit equals the stake. A qualifying bet at shorter odds, such as a favourite at 1/3, does not count towards the offer.

Can I claim a welcome offer more than once?

No. Welcome offers are for new customers only, and some limit them further: BoyleSports allows one offer per customer, household and IP address, and Betfred one per address, IP address and device. Opening a second account to claim an offer again breaks the bookmaker’s terms.

Which offer needs the smallest first bet?

Ladbrokes and Coral, at £5 on a selection at 1/2 or longer, and bet365 takes a £5 minimum deposit. Most of the others ask for a £10 qualifying bet, and LeoVegas boosts an in-play bet of up to £10. Set a deposit limit before you claim any of them; our Ladbrokes and Coral reviews cover their boxing menus.

Should an offer decide which bookmaker I use for boxing?

It should come after the basics: the licence, the markets on the fights you bet on, the rules on void fights and the margin in the prices. Our standings are scored before offers are added, and an offer never moves a bookmaker up the table.
