Photo Credits: Image Licences, Authors and Fonts

The photographs on this site that are not AI-generated come from Wikimedia Commons, under free licences that ask for a credit. This page credits each one with its author, licence and a link to the original file, and credits the fonts and the bookmaker logos too.

Photographs from Wikimedia Commons

There are 8 photographs on the site, and every one comes from Wikimedia Commons. Each is credited in its own caption, where it appears, and listed again below. The licences are Creative Commons licences or public domain dedications; the licence link in each row explains what it allows. We have resized and cropped each photograph to fit the page layout and made no other changes. The other 45 images on the site are AI-generated and are listed on our AI notice instead.

Where a licence is a ShareAlike licence (CC BY-SA), our resized copy is available under the same licence. The photographs show gloves, wraps, rings, bags and empty arenas; none of them shows a person.

The list on this page is built from the same record that places each photograph and writes its caption, and it is checked against our own register of every Commons file we downloaded, with its author, licence and original address. Every photograph on this site carries its credit, here and in its caption. Each photograph is used on one page only.

Fonts

The site uses three typefaces, all served from our own server rather than a third-party font service, so loading them sends nothing about you to anyone else. All three are licensed under the SIL Open Font License, Version 1.1.

  • Saira Extra Condensed, used for headings and numbers. Copyright 2016 The Saira Project Authors.
  • Tomorrow, used for body text. Copyright 2019 The Tomorrow Project Authors.
  • Victor Mono, used for odds, scores and code. Copyright 2023 The Victor Mono Project Authors.

Bookmaker logos

The logos of bet365, Betfred, William Hill, BetVictor, BoyleSports, Ladbrokes, Coral, LeoVegas and Midnite appear beside each bookmaker in our standings and reviews. They are trademarks of their respective owners and are shown only to identify each bookmaker. Their use does not mean that any bookmaker has endorsed this site or approved what we say about it; how we score them is set out on how we rate.

Everything else

The logo and the icons of boxingbetting.co.uk were drawn for this site. The text of the guides and reviews is the work of our editorial team, as described on the about page. If you want to see how the credits look in place, the homepage photograph of an empty arena is a good example: start from our home page.

FAQ

Questions people ask

6 questions answered

Can I reuse a photograph from this site?

The Commons photographs are under the free licences shown in the table, so you can reuse them on the terms of that licence, which usually means crediting the author and naming the licence. It is best to take the file from its original Commons page, linked in the table, rather than our resized copy.

Why are some photographs cropped?

Every photograph is resized and cropped to fit the page layout: to a 3:2 frame for the files we serve, and to a wider frame where the page shows it across the full width. No other changes are made to the photographs.

Who made the AI images?

They were generated for this site with an AI image model. They are not photographs of real places, and each one is labelled on the page and in its file, as explained on our AI notice.

Can I reuse the AI images?

Please ask us first, by email to [email protected], as set out on our contact page. If you do reuse one, keep its AI label.

Are the bookmaker logos licensed to this site?

The logos are shown only to identify each bookmaker next to its review. They remain the trademarks of their owners, and their use here does not imply that any bookmaker endorses this site.

I think a credit is wrong. What should I do?

Tell us by email to [email protected], as set out on our contact page, with the name of the file. We check the original Commons page and correct the credit in the next edition.
