Coral Boxing Odds and Betting Review: Markets and Fight Rules

Coral belongs to the same group as Ladbrokes, so its boxing menu will look familiar to anyone who has used both. We looked at how to judge its fight odds, the distance and result markets it carries, in-play, and what happens when a fight changes. It also has a welcome offer that starts from a £5 bet.

R1Coral at a glance

Coral is licensed by the Gambling Commission through LC International Limited, account 54743, the same licence as Ladbrokes, confirmed on the Commission’s public register on Friday 9 October 2026. It is a condition of entry to our standings, and it is what brings the protections every customer should expect: age and identity checks, deposit limits, time-outs, an approved route for complaints and membership of GamStop.

Coral’s overall boxing score is 7.7 out of 10, level with LeoVegas and just behind Ladbrokes. The gap, 0.17 of a point before rounding, comes from a single mark: Ladbrokes scores one point more on undercard depth. Its welcome offer plays no part in the score.

R2Coral boxing odds and margins

UK bookmakers usually quote fight prices as fractions, and Coral boxing odds read the same way. A price of 4/6 on the favourite means a stake of 6 returns 4 in profit plus the stake; 6/4 on the underdog means a stake of 4 wins 6 in profit, and returns 10 with the stake. The draw is the third outcome, which makes every fight a three-way market.

The number that tells you whether a price is fair is the margin. Convert each price to an implied chance and add them: 4/6 implies 60.0%, 6/4 implies 40.0% and a draw at 20/1 implies 4.8%, a total of 104.8%. The 4.8% above 100 is the bookmaker’s margin on that fight. Change the draw to 14/1 and the margin rises to 6.7% without either fighter’s price moving, which is why the draw is worth reading even if you never back it.

We do not publish a single house margin for Coral, because margins move from fight to fight and as money comes in. The quick check is to put its three prices next to another bookmaker’s in our margin checker. Because Coral and Ladbrokes belong to the same group, their prices are often close, so comparing the two tells you less; compare it with a bookmaker outside that pairing, such as William Hill or bet365, instead.

R3Fight markets and undercard coverage

Markets per fight score 7. Beyond the fight result, Coral’s boxing menu leans on the distance: whether all the scheduled rounds are completed or the fight ends early. It is a simple yes-or-no market, and a useful one when you have a view on the style of a fight rather than its result. A stoppage in any round, the last included, settles it as “no”; a points decision of any kind settles it as “yes”. The other markets built on the result work the same way at every book.

  • Fight result. Red, blue or draw: the base price for every other market.
  • Goes the distance. Are all the scheduled rounds completed? Yes or no.
  • Method of victory. Stoppage, points or disqualification, for either fighter.
  • Total rounds. Over or under a line, whoever finishes the fight.

The distance price is closely tied to the method-of-victory market. Suppose a fight has the favourite at 1/2 and the bookmaker prices “goes the distance: yes” at 11/8 and “no” at 4/7. Those imply 42.1% and 63.6%, a total of 105.7%, so this two-way market carries a margin of about 5.7%. The same book will price a stoppage for either fighter and a points decision for either fighter in the method market, and the two “points” prices together should tell roughly the same story as the “yes” price. When they do not, one of the two markets is out of line, and that is worth knowing before you choose which one to bet on.

The undercard score is 6, the lowest on Coral’s card and shared with Midnite and LeoVegas. It measures how far down a card of eight or ten bouts the markets reach beyond a plain result price, and a 6 means depth thins quickly below the main event. That is the one point that separates Coral from Ladbrokes, which scores 7. Our boxing betting markets guide explains what each market settles on.

R4In-play markets

In-play scores 7, the same as Ladbrokes. At many bookmakers a boxing market is suspended while a round is fought, or as soon as something big happens, and repriced in the minute between rounds, when a knockdown or a cut shows up in the numbers. The score measures which boxing markets a bookmaker lists in-play, the fight result only or method and total rounds as well; bet365 leads the nine on this criterion with a 9.

Streaming is not part of the score. Boxing streaming rights are sold card by card, so whether a particular fight can be watched on Coral’s site is a question for the day of the fight. In-play margins run wider than those before the first bell at every bookmaker, so check the price again in the interval rather than relying on the one you saw earlier.

R5Cancelled and changed fights

Coral scores 8 for its rules on void fights, level with the best in our standings. That matters because boxing changes more bets than most sports. A fight can be postponed, a boxer replaced at short notice, the scheduled number of rounds changed or a bout stopped early and sent to the cards.

  1. PostponedMost UK bookmakers keep a bet open if the same two boxers meet within a period set in the rules; after that it is void and the stake returned.
  2. Opponent changedUsually treated as a new fight: bets on the original bout are void.
  3. Technical decisionThe fight result is usually settled on the cards; method and round bets vary.
  4. DisqualificationSettled on the official result, like any other ending.

Because distance bets are Coral’s strength, one rule is worth reading closely: whether a fight that ends on a technical decision counts as having gone the distance. It varies between bookmakers. Our guide to technical decisions and void bets goes through every scenario.

R6Deposits and withdrawals

Payments score 8. Coral shares its cashier with Ladbrokes, and credit cards are not accepted there any more than at any licensed site. Deposits are made by UK-permitted methods such as debit cards, and the cashier on your account shows which ones you can use. Withdrawals usually go back to the method you paid in with.

Complete the identity checks before you need to withdraw, because the first withdrawal waits for them. Set a deposit limit in the account settings before the first deposit; it applies to your whole account.

R7Welcome offer and terms

The offer is “Bet £5, get £30 in Free Bets”, and its key terms, summarised from the offer as published on 30 September and 1 October 2026, are at the top of this page and in the box below; the bookmaker’s own terms are the ones that apply. In plain words: it is for new customers aged 18 or over. You deposit £5 and place a bet of £5 or more at odds of 1/2, which is 1.5 in decimals, or longer, and you must not cash that bet out. You have 14 days from registering to place it. You then receive £30 in free bets as six £5 free bets on selected sportsbook markets, valid for seven days, and the stake is not returned with the payout.

On a fight, the 1/2 minimum lets a moderate favourite qualify, while one at 1/3 does not. Let the qualifying bet run to its result: a cashed-out bet does not count. Four of the six can go on a fight; the other two are a football and a horse racing bet builder. And the free bets have to be placed within seven days, which is easier on a busy card than on a quiet week, so sign up close to a fight night. All nine offers are compared on our boxing offers page.

R8Verdict

Coral is a sound, licensed boxing book with good house rules and a menu built around the fight result and the distance. Its 7.7 reflects a card that is solid on the rules that decide a changed fight and on payments, average on markets and in-play, and thin on the undercard. Because it belongs to the same group as Ladbrokes, the two are more alike than different; Ladbrokes edges it by a point on undercard depth.

If you are new to betting on fights, begin with our guide on how to bet on boxing, and if undercard depth matters, compare Coral with Ladbrokes or William Hill. The full standings are on our boxing betting homepage.

FAQ

Coral questions

10 questions answered

Is Coral licensed by the Gambling Commission?

Yes. Coral trades under account 54743, the same licence as Ladbrokes, and we checked it on the Commission’s public register on Friday 9 October 2026. The licence means age and identity checks, deposit limits and membership of GamStop.

Does Coral have a welcome offer for boxing?

Yes. At the time of writing it is “Bet £5, get £30 in Free Bets” for new customers aged 18 or over. You deposit £5 and bet £5 or more at odds of 1/2 or longer within 14 days of registering, without cashing that bet out, and get six £5 free bets valid for seven days: four for any sportsbook market, which can go on a fight, one for a football bet builder and one for a horse racing bet builder. All nine offers are compared, with their terms, on our offers page.

Why do Coral and Ladbrokes boxing markets look alike?

Coral and Ladbrokes belong to the same group, and their two boxing menus look much the same. Their scores differ by one point, on undercard depth, where Ladbrokes scores 7 and Coral 6.

What does “goes the distance” mean at Coral?

It is a yes-or-no market on whether the fight lasts every scheduled round. A stoppage in any round, including the last, settles it as “no”; a points decision after the full distance, split or not, settles it as “yes”. A technical decision is where bookmakers’ rules differ, so check Coral’s.

Why does Coral score 7.7 out of 10?

It scores 10 for its licence, 8 for void-fight rules and payments, 7 for markets and in-play, and 6 for undercard coverage. The average is 7.7, level with LeoVegas, with its gap to the leaders on markets and undercard depth.

How do I check whether Coral boxing odds are good?

Convert the three prices on a fight to implied chances and add them up; the total above 100% is the margin. Our fight margin calculator does it for two bookmakers side by side.

Can I bet on a draw at Coral?

Yes. The draw is the third outcome in the fight-result market and is usually priced long, often 20/1 or more between two evenly matched boxers. It is also where the margin tends to hide, so check it even if you never back it.

What happens to a Coral bet if the fight is stopped after a clash of heads?

If the fight goes to the scorecards as a technical decision, the fight result is usually settled on the cards. Method and round bets vary between bookmakers, so check the Coral rules and our boxing betting rules guide.

Can I use a credit card at Coral?

No, not at Coral or any UK-licensed bookmaker. Deposits are made by UK-permitted methods such as debit cards, and withdrawals usually go back to the same method.

Where can I get support with gambling?

The National Gambling Helpline on 0808 8020 133 is free and confidential, the National Gambling Support Network offers free treatment across Great Britain, and the NHS gambling clinics do so in England. GamStop blocks every licensed site at once; our responsible gambling page lists every option.
