Privacy Policy and Cookie Notice for This Website
This notice explains what information boxingbetting.co.uk handles when you visit, which cookies it does and does not set, and the rights you have under UK data protection law. It applies from the edition of Friday 9 October 2026.
Who we are
This website is published by boxingbetting.co.uk (“boxingbetting.co.uk”, “we”, “us”), which is the controller responsible for the personal data described in this notice. You can contact us about anything in it, including a data protection request, by email at [email protected]. The site is an information service about boxing betting in the UK. It has no user accounts, no sign-up forms, no newsletter and no comments, and it does not take bets or payments. That keeps the amount of information we handle very small, and this notice sets out all of it.
What we collect
Nothing you type into a form, because there are none. We do not ask for your name, email address, date of birth or any other personal detail anywhere on the site.
An email you choose to send us. If you write to the address on our contact page, we receive your email address and whatever the message contains. We use it only to deal with what you wrote, such as checking a correction or answering a data request, we do not add it to any mailing list and we do not pass it to a bookmaker or anyone else. The message is deleted once it has been dealt with, and no later than 12 months after our last reply, unless it concerns a legal claim, in which case it is kept until that claim is settled. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the site accurate or, for a data request, our legal obligation to answer it.
The calculators and quizzes run in your browser. The prices, scores and answers you enter are worked out on your own device and are not sent to us or to anyone else.
Technical data needed to deliver a page. Like every website, the servers that deliver these pages have to receive your device’s IP address and the basic details of each request (the page asked for, the time, and the browser’s user-agent string) in order to send the page back. The hosting infrastructure keeps standard technical logs of those requests for security and to keep the site running, and deletes them automatically after no more than 30 days. We do not use them to identify visitors, to build profiles or for marketing, and we do not combine them with any other information. Our lawful basis for this processing is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
No analytics and no advertising. The site runs no analytics service, no advertising network, no social media widgets and no tracking pixels. The fonts and images are served from our own server, so loading a page does not send your details to a font or image service.
Who receives the data and where it is kept
We do not sell personal data or pass it to bookmakers, advertisers or data brokers. Two kinds of service provider handle data for us, only on our instructions and only to deliver the site: the hosting provider whose servers store and serve the pages, and Cloudflare, Inc., the content delivery network that passes each request to those servers and protects the site against attacks (Cloudflare’s privacy policy). Emails to our address are held by our email provider. Cloudflare is based in the United States and handles requests in data centres around the world, including outside the UK; where data leaves the UK this way, it is protected by the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or by the UK’s International Data Transfer Addendum to standard contractual clauses. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, for example to a court or a regulator.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies: no analytics cookies, no advertising cookies and no cookies of its own. Because no cookies are set, the notice shown on your first visit asks about one thing only: the quiz streak below.
The only thing the site stores on your device is in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie: the weight-class quiz keeps your best streak, a single number, so it is still there next time. The streak is kept only if you choose “Allow” in that notice; with “No thanks” the quiz works the same and forgets the streak when you leave. Your answer itself is kept in local storage so the notice does not return on every page. That information stays in your browser and is never sent to us. You can change your answer at any time, which also removes a kept streak, or clear the site data in your browser settings. Every tool works normally if local storage is blocked.
Links to bookmakers and other sites
The “Visit Here” buttons and other links to bookmakers go straight to the bookmaker’s own website. The links carry no personal data and no identifier that tells the bookmaker who you are. Once you are on a bookmaker’s site, or on any other site we link to, such as GamCare or the Gambling Commission, that site’s own privacy policy and cookies apply. Bookmakers ask for personal details to open an account because the law requires them to check your age and identity; that is between you and the bookmaker.
Your rights
Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 you have the right to ask what personal data is held about you and to get a copy, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data deleted, to restrict or object to its use, and to data portability. Because we hold no account data and do not identify visitors, in practice there is very little for these rights to apply to, but you can still ask. Requests can be sent by email to [email protected], as set out on our contact page. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
Age and changes to this notice
This site is for adults aged 18 and over and is not aimed at anyone younger. If the way the site handles information changes, for example if an analytics service is ever added, this notice will be updated before the change takes effect, and the edition date at the top of the page will change with it. You can return to the guides from our home page, and the terms that apply to using the site are on our terms of use page.
